Experience nature at ground level as groups learn how to survive and thrive in the wilderness. Teams progress along a journey of discovery acquiring new skills, completing challenges and learning more about each other. Free from the stresses of civilisation this is a great way to build and cement relationships in a memorable and highly informative way.

We combine primitive skills and modern techniques with a hands on approach. The possible activities are vast and we can tailor each event to the group, your objectives and the venue.

Suggested activities for your group:

We would suggest concentrating on the immediate survival priorities where time is of the essence and team work and communication vital. Detailed examples might be:

Equipment Icebreaker – Confronted with an array of equipment teams must select only the most useful for their time in the bush. A great way to get to know your group with lively discussions guaranteed!

Signalling & Communication – We use a series of scenarios to demonstrate the need for clear, precise communication and the techniques that can be used to signal in distress. Who will end up with a friendly wave from the pilot and who will be airlifted to safety???

Shelter – After an informative talk on the need for shelter and basic techniques teams must gather materials and work quickly to build an effective shelter before the ‘weather’ closes in. These are then tested, often with the braver or more confident teams inside!

Fire Skills – In cold climates fire can make the difference between life and death! Guests are shown fire lighting techniques, with the chance to make a cup of bush tea!.

Navigation – This vital bushcraft skill allows guests to focus on natures clues to find their way. We use an Aboriginal story telling technique to demonstrate the powerful way that a story conjures up pictures to convey a route or message.

Guest Notes:

Please make sure that guests wear old clothes that they don’t mind getting dirty as the day will be spent outdoors (full instructions will be sent on booking).

Venue Requirements:

This event would typically take place in an area of woodland where we can make fires etc.

The price quoted below is based on an example of 35 guests (4 Teams) in the London/M25/Home Counties Area (we can organise events UK wide, so contact us for further details)
